A perfect place to stay in Porto

Loved every aspect of our stay, from a very welcoming arrival, to the beautiful decore and the large and comfy rooms with beautiful furnishings. Breakfast was ample and a lot of care was taken, with different thoughtfully presented egg dishes each day. Great access to other parts of Porto via a short walk to the Metro, so we were able to park the car in their secure yard and forget about it. Great ideas from host Manuela as to where to eat and what to see and do.

Everything was of excellent quality and taste! The breakfast was good and the location is convenient and quiet, with well-rated restaurants nearby. Manuela was a gracious host and we will surely come back again!

The loveliest home away from home we ever stayed at.

The hosts, room, furnishing, decor, space, terrace, breakfast, everything was amazing. Superbe breakfast with local and homemade food, attention to every detail, excellent recommendations about what to visit, wonderful hosts, super comfortable and large rooms. Would love to stay again. Highly recommend.

Exquisite Accommodation

It really was a privilege to stay in this house. It is absolutely exquisite and I would go as far as to rate it as one of the best places I have ever stayed in. It was spotlessly clean and the attention to detail was simply amazing. Manuela and her husband were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts they provided were beautifully presented, varied, and delicious. We also asked Manuela to provide dinner for us one night. It was a highlight of our trip to Porto.

What would you highlight about Charming Antas House

Both the stay and the hosts here are amazing, heartwarming and beautiful, I’ll go back again.

I absolutely loved loved every day here! We traveled with an infant so I was hesitated when booking because the place wasn’t in city center, however after reading reviews I decided to give a try and turned out it was the most comfortable and worthy stay for our entire trip. There are many things I loved about this beautiful home: 1. People: Manuela and her husband were fantastic hosts and great people, they would try their best to make the stay comfortable. She gave us tips for the city and helped us with a lot of recommendation questions. We had a very early flight the last day and told them that we wouldn’t have breakfast but she prepared breakfast for us anyways. She loved our baby and it melt my heart seeing her holding him. She gave him sweet little gifts she made, I loved them. I loved spending time with both of them, got emotional saying goodbye. Their doggies were so cute and funny. 2. Ambience: Their home was absolutely beautiful, with many mindful touches. The beautiful artworks on the wall, the family pictures and doggies pictures, the antique items… there were so many details that you could tell they put heart in, full of life. 3. Breakfasts. The breakfast was amazing. Everyday we had a lot of options, and they tried to make it different everyday. Manuela’s husband cooked different eggs for us each morning, we didn’t had 2 same eggs for our entire 6nights stay! It’s impressive. I also have to mention the beautiful table settings, it’s different everyday! From table clothes to matching ceramic dishware, such a pleasant experience to start our mornings. 3. Location. As I mentioned it’s not in the center, but it’s super easy to reach. It’s a quiet beautiful local neighbourhood with many good restaurants to choose. We went to places Manuela recommended and they were great. The cafe at the metro station had the best croissant and sweets. I’m so glad we stayed here instead of touristy city center. The walk to metro station was quite enjoyable.

Fantastic and friendly place to stay!

A lovely warm helpful welcome from Manuela and Jaoa. We arrived early and they got our rooms ready for us as quickly as possible. Manuela gave us lots of tips on where to go to eat and visit which was so helpful. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable and the breakfast is incredible. Would whole-heartedly recommend!

The house is quaint and as the name states, charming. The owners are lovely and kind. You’re greeted warmly upon check in and are immediately taken to your room. Our room was decorated beautifully and there were personal touches everywhere from the quality of linens, soaps, and chocolates. Water is served in your room in a glass carafe with crystal glasses. The breakfast reminded us of high tea served in hotels. You’re served fresh eggs, bacon and yogurt made by the owner’s themselves at your table, while a plethora of fresh fruit, vegetables, breads, pastries, jams, coffee and tea are waiting for you at the buffet table. Charming House Antas also provides free Wi-Fi and is in walking distance to shops, restaurants, church and the metro. It’s a must stay!

we had the pleasure of staying at Manuela's home. We found it a place of peace, beauty and quiet after a six weeks journey with the motorcycle. It was a wonderful place from which to discover the beautiful city of Porto and a wonderful place to return to at the end of the day. It is obvious that Manuela love's what she do. The house and the rooms are beautiful. The breakfasts is a combination of beauty, variety and taste. She think's of every little detail and create perfection. We had a wonderful 3 day

Absolutely lovely, very highly recommended, Manuela & her husband are perfect hosts. On arrival Manuela advises you on Porto & how to get around etc. Manuela offers a selection of evening meals - beautiful food, highly recommended. Breakfast is beautifully presented offering a variety of food - highly recommended.

Stunning!

What an amazing hotel. We booked 2 rooms for our family and both rooms were so charming and beautiful. Spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, the beds were so comfortable and such high quality bedding made you feel luxurious. Manuela and Joaò were such wonderful hosts and every detail of the house was beautiful. The breakfast was so good and Manuela did a different colour theme of table setting every morning. Staying at Charming Antas made our holiday more special. We rented a car so having car-park at the hotel was great.
